The new model of ViaNatura peening anvil is made of C45 high carbon steel. It is CNC machined to consistent shape. It is hardened to 58 HRC while maintaining sufficient level of resilience. The striking surface is hand-polished to a near mirror shine. This prevents the fine edge from cracking during the peening process.
Its geometry is a result of years of experimenting both during actual professional peening and teaching of peening classes. The anvil is comfortable and easy to use. Its striking surface geometry offers great balance between impact strength and smoothness of the resulting edge.
